Musical Theater!! ( :

I was intrested in how theater has grown over the years. So I watched a peformance of the well known song "And I am Telling You" from the Dream Girls play of 1982, and compared it to the plays of today. The most evident diffrence to me was set design. In the 1982 version of the play things were less flashy and more concentrated on the music and the actors performance. As in todays musical theater things are BIGGER and a lot more FLASHY! Watching the video without all the flashy designs kept me more focused on the performance. I like the old way but i still enjoy modern day musical theater.
